Puppy Cake saw a boost in sales after their Shark Tank appearance, and are still going strong troday. They have expanded their product line to include cookies, dog themed party supplies, apparel, and even lactose and sugar free ice cream.
“In 2007, I was looking at old cake mix advertisements for a client of mine and thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if they made that for dogs?” That was my light bulb moment. I realized that dog owners across the globe wanted to treat their dogs like family and give them safe and healthy cakes.
I started with a few flavors and worked out of my kitchen in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment in Bellevue, PA. Little by little, Puppy Cake grew and we began launching a whole line of treats. Our best sellers are the cake mixes and ice cream mixes.
In 2013, we began making all of our products in our factory in Evans City, PA. But by 2020, we had outgrown our Evans City location and moved our production to small town Portersville, PA. Our factory is full of hardworking people who put their hearts into making great dog treats. Moving to Portersville was a big milestone for us and we are very proud of the modern factory we have created.
