Sway Motorsports is a line of compact electric three-wheeled motor vehicles that turn by leaning rather than rotating the handlebars. This unique mechanism makes it similar to steering a skateboard. It runs on rechargeable lithium batteries and can carry you for about 40 – 60 miles on a single charge at a top speed of 55 – 75 mph.
The three-wheeled design makes it much more stable than a traditional two-wheeled motor scooter and means the driver doesn’t need to put their feet on the ground to balance while stopped. The machine is highly maneuverable and safer than a motorcycle since the third wheel provides added stability and additional brakes. It also allows you to carry loads making it more utilitarian than a two-wheeled vehicle. This unique machine is in beta testing at the time of it’s Shark Tank pitch, and may be available to purchase in 2016.
