The Drip Drop is an edible collar for ice cream cones that catches drips. They also make a handy shelf for toppings or for building a 2 layer masterpiece. The collar ring is made of the same stuff as waffle cones and come in two flavors – original and chocolate. The Drip Drop is not commercially available at the time of this post, and the company hopes license the concept to ice cream cone manufacturers or ice cream shops.
At 14 years old Sam Nassif and Oliver Greenwald, the inventors of The Drip Drop, are the youngest entrepreneurs ever to pitch to the Sharks without an adult. They came up with the concept at 10 years of age and won 2nd place in the Gates Invention competition, securing them funds to hire a patent attorney, who successful secured a design patent in 2015, with two more pending.
