Leslie Pierson, the founder of GoodHangups, pitches her product on episode 2, season 8 of Shark Tank. GoodHangups are an ingenious solution for hanging posters and notes that do no damage to your artwork or walls, are easy to reposition, reusable, removable, and can work on almost any surface including brick, wood, plaster, tile, concrete, glass and more.
There are tons of products for hanging posters but all have their drawbacks. Tacks, brads and nails hold things securely but leave holes in your artwork and wall. Putty and adhesive pads can leave sticky residues and can damage or tear delicate paper. Other products are single-use and difficult to reposition without compromising holding power.
GoodHangups uses a clever magnetic backing pad that sticks to the wall behind your poster. The MagnaStickers grab the surface of the wall without leaving any mess behind, and can be easily peeled off and moved. Simply apply the MagnaStickers, position your artwork, and use the strong neodymium magnets to lock it in place.
GoodHangups are ideal for hanging kid’s art, notes, reminders, photos, holiday cards, grocery lists, to-do lists, announcements, color swatches when repainting walls, decorating office spaces, and are a perfect solution for renters who don’t want to damage walls and risk losing a security deposit.
GoodHangups are available in an 8 pack (includes 8 MagnaStickers and 8 magnets) or a 16 pack (16 MagnaStickers and 16 magnets). The original product uses small cylindrical magnets, and they make a kid-safe version with the magnets embedded inside a larger colored plastic button.
In October 2015, GoodHangups competed and won an innovative product competition called The Next Big Thing produced by QVC and NBC’s TODAY Show.
