Packd began with a problem Lauren Kyle Call ran into while traveling. That led her to start sketching a system that would treat a suitcase more like a set of organized compartments.
Lauren Kyle Call developed the first versions as structured packing bags, each with a clear use. Some were designed for clothing, others for shoes or smaller items. The shapes and sizes were planned to fit inside standard luggage without wasting space. Early prototypes were tested and adjusted until the layout felt consistent from one trip to the next.
Sales started online through the brand’s website. The bags were sold as individual pieces and as sets, which allowed people to build a system that fit how they pack. The business grew as more customers shared the product in use, especially on platforms like Instagram where travel and packing routines are often shown step by step. Visibility also increased through features in lifestyle and design outlets, which introduced the product to a wider audience.
As demand grew, the product line expanded to include more sizes and configurations. Production scaled to keep inventory available, and the focus stayed on maintaining a consistent structure across the different bags so they could be used together.
