Creator Camp is an edutech company dedicated to empowering children aged 6-13 with hands-on creative-tech skills. Founded by Kai Forman, Christopher Cazden Morrison, and Jacky Chao, the company was born out of a desire to provide kids with an engaging, immersive educational experience that blends technology and creativity.
The idea for Creator Camp emerged when Kai, a game programming student, recognized the lack of creativity and engagement in existing tech education programs. Believing that children thrive when learning is fun, Kai approached his friends with the concept of an intensive, collaborative educational experience unlike any other.
Together, the founding team launched their first summer of Creator Camp, offering animation and filmmaking classes. The overwhelmingly positive response led them to expand rapidly, doubling their locations and adding new camps the following year. This year, they’re tripling their locations and introducing three additional tech-focused programs.
At the heart of Creator Camp’s approach is the belief that children today are entering a world increasingly dominated by technology, and developing a healthy relationship with it is essential. The company aims to spark children’s imaginations and inspire them to use technology as a tool for creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Lego & Clay Animators Camp: Students learn the principles of storytelling and stop-motion animation, creating their own claymation and Lego-based films over the 3-day camp.
Hollywood Filmmakers Camp: Campers gain a strong foundation in filmmaking, from storyboarding and shooting to editing and special effects, culminating in the creation of their own short films.
YouTube Creators Camp: Children develop skills for online content creation, covering topics like brand building, gaming videos, short-form entertainment, and product reviews.
Music & Beats Producers Camp: Students create and record original songs, adding various instrumental elements, and produce a music video to share.
Minecraft Modders & Coders Camp: Campers learn fundamental coding concepts while creating their own Minecraft mods and mini-games.
Minecraft Redstone Engineers Camp: Kids explore the parallels between Minecraft’s Redstone and real-world electricity, crafting circuits and engineering projects like automatic doors and minecart roller coasters.
3D Game Developers Camp: Students dive into game mechanics and 3D level design, building their own racing games and action-survival games.
The Roblox Game Masters Camp: This camp sparks creativity by teaching kids to design their own games, starting with racing games and progressing to obstacle courses and RPGs. Throughout the camp, they learn game design, 3D navigation, and how to publish their games on Struckd for others to play.
The camp experiences provide immersive, hands-on learning that blends technology and creativity, aiming to develop skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and healthy tech fluency in the next generation. As Creator Camp continues to grow, the team has ambitious plans for the future, including expanding offerings for older teens, as well as exploring online and hybrid learning programs. Their overarching vision is to build a more colorful, tech-savvy future, one creative idea at a time.
