BeeSweet Lemonade Saves the Bees

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you bees, add honey to your lemonade. Then add flax seeds and some great flavorings, and you’ve got BeeSweet.

At the age of four, a youngster named Mikalia found a cookbook containing her Granny’s recipe for flaxseed lemonade. Later Mikalia entered a batch of the sweet treat in a children’s business competition. When swarms of people began buzzing around her booth, the young businesswoman knew she had a hit.

Since then the BeeSweet label has grown by leaps and bounds.  Of course the great flavor always tempts people’s taste buds, but part of the company’s popularity lies in its quest to save the American Honeybee. Mikalia, now ten-years-old, loves bees and is concerned by their declining numbers.  That’s why a percentage of each sale goes towards educating people about the importance of honey bees in our eco system.

BeeSweet comes in four delicious flavors. In addition to the original lemonade with mint, fans can also enjoy BeeSweet with ginger, iced tea, and prickly pear flavorings. When life gives you lemons, turn them into something great, something like BeeSweet Lemonade.

UPDATE: BeeSweet has been rebranded as Me & The Bees Lemonade.
