Former financial consultant Taya Geiger cofounded Scratch & Grain Baking Co with her neighbor Leah Tutin in 2012. They created a series of baking kits including cookies, brownies and cupcakes with pre-measured ingredients, packaged in individual color-coded bags.
The kits eliminate the need for measuring cups and spoons, and large bags of ingredients like flour, baking soda, and brown sugar. Quick and easy baking with a lot less mess. Scratch & Grain got an investment from Barbara Corcoran and later appeared in an update on the TV series Beyond The Tank.
