Former attorney Amanda Schlechter invented the Ledge Pillow, a pillow specifically designed for stomach-sleepers with sensitive breasts, while recovering from breast augmentation surgery. She had been selling her product for three years before appearing on Shark Tank, but her business was struggling. Amanda asked for a $30,000 investment for 25% of her company, but her sales numbers failed to impress the Sharks, who thought that her product would have a very limited market. The Ledge Pillow website and Facebook page were shut down shortly after the episode aired.
