Getting around in a bustling airport can be a challenging and frustrating experience. If you’ve ever found yourself on the tram to the wrong terminal of the airport while hurrying to catch a connecting flight, then you understand why this app is long overdue.
Trippie is an interactive map that puts the lay of the land in your pocket, so you can easily see where you need to go and exactly how to get there, with a similar experience to using Google Maps.
You’ll also be able to find all the airport’s lounges, restaurants, bars and shops so you can pass the time while waiting out a layover. The app provides detailed information for everything in the airport, from where to get a good latte to how to locate airport services. It even tells you how long it will take you to walk there, so you won’t worry about missing your plane.
Aside from helping you get around, Trippie gives you lots of cool extra features like the ability to order food and have it delivered to your gate. This service was the original inspiration for the app’s creator Ryan Diew, a student who got the idea while traveling back and forth between Oakland CA and upstate New York.
Trippie can also track your travel as you gallivant around the globe, showing you all the places you’ve been and how many miles you’ve traveled in the process. The app not only takes the stress out of traveling, it actually makes it more fun.
