Hero Covers Photo-Realistic Car Covers

Jordan Rubin and Cody Brdar developed Hero Covers around an unusual idea for a car cover. Instead of hiding a vehicle beneath plain fabric, they wanted the cover to reproduce the car’s appearance. Their designs use printed images of the vehicle’s bodywork, headlights, wheels and other details, creating the illusion that the car is uncovered even when it is protected.

The founders built the business around custom orders. Customers provide information about their vehicles and choose the appearance they want, including colors, graphics and other details. Hero Covers then produces a fitted cover with the chosen design printed onto the fabric. The approach appealed to owners who wanted to protect their cars without concealing their appearance, particularly people with collectible, modified or unusual vehicles.

Former professional wrestler Bill Goldberg became involved with Hero Covers through his interest in cars. Goldberg had built a collection that included classic American muscle cars and other performance vehicles. He also shared his interest in restoration and collecting through Goldberg’s Garage, a video series devoted to his automotive projects. Hero Covers worked with him to produce custom covers for vehicles in his collection, and he became a partner in the business.

The founders used automotive events, collaborations and social media to introduce the product to car enthusiasts. Videos showing a cover being placed over a vehicle attracted attention because the printed image closely matched the car underneath. The business also worked with automotive photographer Larry Chen, whose work photographing racing and modified cars had earned him a following among enthusiasts. By late 2025, the founders were reporting hundreds of millions of organic views across their social media content.

Hero Covers began expanding through licensing agreements with established automotive brands. In July 2025, the business announced a partnership with Carroll Shelby Licensing to make covers for vehicles such as the Shelby GT350, GT500 and Cobra. The agreement allowed Hero Covers to produce designs using officially licensed Shelby names and imagery.

The business also entered a three-year partnership with Mecum Auctions in October 2025. The arrangement introduced Hero Covers to the collector-car auction audience and provided another sales channel beyond its own website. Cody Brdar, who served as chief executive, oversaw the expansion of these partnerships.

The licensing business expanded further in 2026 through a collaboration with Hot Wheels. Hero Covers worked with the toy brand’s designers to create full-sized covers based on well-known Hot Wheels cars, including Twin Mill and Rodger Dodger. Rather than simply printing a logo on a cover, the designs reproduced the colors and visual details associated with the miniature cars.
