The Leaux Racing Trike is a stunt tricycle for adults, and it is irresistibly fun. The kind of fun that requires a touch of wrecklessness and daring, the kind of fun you had when you were a kid.
When you’re sitting 5 inches from the ground, things move very quickly. Commonplace objects like trash cans, trees, benches, or curbs become challenging obstacles when you’re sliding around on a Leaux Trike. The trike’s unique operation provides exhilarating fast-paced action, and it’s the closest you can come to that feeling of excitement you got from riding a bicycle when you were very young.
The Leaux trike was created by Tyler Hadzicki and engineered by his father Joe Hadzicki who has more than 20 years experience designing and manufacturing products including the Revolution Graphite Skateboard.
The Leaux’s two back wheels are small and very similar to the wheels of a skateboard or inline skate, allowing them to slide easily. The real magic happens when you use the swivel handle over the back wheels that lets them rotate 360 degrees. Turning the handle allows you to drift, slide, and spin in circles while moving forward. With this multi-wheel steering you can turn with great precision and speed around tight corners. The back wheels can also be locked in place so that the trike rides like a standard 3 wheeler. To brake you simply pedal backwards.
The Leaux features a stylish and plush leather seat so you can cruise in comfort. The frame of the Leaux is easy to adjust to give you more or less leg room and can accommodate riders between 4’ 6” and 6’ 5”. The pedals extend beyond the front wheel like a recumbent bike, allowing you to really crank down and get efficient transmission of power. The 3:1 gear ratio means you can reach speeds over 20 mph in under 5 seconds, or you can cruise comfortably at 15 mph with relaxed pedaling.
Leaux Racing Trikes is no longer in business.
