Napwell was a napping mask with a built-in alarm clock. Inspired by nature’s sunrise and built by engineers from MIT and Stanford, Napwell used graduated lighting to wake you up in a more natural way, helping you feel refreshed after every rest. The Napwell LED lights gradually brightened to wake you slowly, without waking up your partner or hearing a jarring alarm. The countdown timer allowed Napwell to be conveniently used for naps as well as overnight sleep.
Napwell was made from silky soft materials that fit the face comfortably while leaving space between the mask and the eyes. That space is crucial to not interrupting REM sleep. Electronic components of the Napwell are self-contained within a removable insert, making the rest of the mask washable for extensive use.
