She began experimenting in their modest two-bedroom Los Angeles apartment, spending countless batter-filled nights perfecting recipes.
The breakthrough came when Saphira developed a gluten-free, dairy-free twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie that won over even Maurizio, who wasn’t a fan of most “healthy” cookies. Friends and family raved about the delicious treats as well. This validation prompted the couple to officially launch Nowhere Bakery in 2020.
From its humble beginnings, Nowhere Bakery has grown into a successful company offering a range of plant-based cookies, brownies, and blondies that are free from dairy, gluten, grains, refined sugar, soy, FODMAPs, corn, eggs, and seed oils. All of their baked goods are also vegan and paleo-friendly.
