Kenzo Singer, co-creator and president of Eyewris, was working as a structural engineer in Los Angeles when his father, Mark, came up with the concept for Eyewris. Kenzo studied structural engineering and architecture at Cornell University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 2010 and his master’s degree in 2011. The collaboration between Mark and Kenzo led to the invention of the bi-stable bridge, a crucial element in making the Eyewris foldable reading glasses possible.
