Mosh is a brain health and wellness company founded by Maria Shriver and her son Patrick Schwarzenegger. The company produces protein bars formulated with nutrient-dense, clean-label ingredients designed to fuel the brain and body.
The Mosh protein bars feature a blend of 7 brain nutrients and superfoods, including lion’s mane, ashwagandha, omega-3s, collagen, vitamin B12, and vitamin D3. These ingredients have been shown in scientific studies to support brain health, although the products are not intended as a treatment or preventive measure for any brain disease.
Mosh’s grass-fed protein blend is certified as “Truly Grass Fed,” a program that ensures the cows receive 95 percent of their nutritional feed from grass, with no growth hormones used, and the milk is Non-GMO Project Verified. The cows are grazed on grasslands for up to 300 days a year and housed for the remainder for animal welfare purposes.
All Mosh protein bars are rigorously tested to ensure they are non-GMO, gluten-free, and Kosher. The bars come in various flavors, including Cookie Dough Crunch, Lemon White Chocolate Crunch, Cookies & Cream Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch, PB Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Crunch, and Blueberry Almond Crunch.
Mosh donates a percentage of every order’s proceeds to support brain health research through the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement at Cleveland Clinic. Customers also have the option to contribute an additional donation through the “Champion the Cause” program.
The founders, Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger, share a personal connection to brain health issues, having witnessed a family member experience Alzheimer’s disease. Their mission is to create a conversation about brain health through food, education, research, and promoting a “mindstyle” lifestyle.
Maria Shriver is an American journalist, author, a member of the Kennedy family, and the former First Lady of California. She founded the nonprofit organization The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement and was previously married to former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Patrick Schwarzenegger is an American actor and the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. He has invested in consumer packaged goods companies, including Liquid I.V., Poppi, and Super Coffee.
Mosh secured $3 million in Series A financing led by clients of MSA Advisors, LLC (Main Street Advisors), Joyance Ventures, The Lab Capital Advisors, Verso Capital, and Entrepreneur Ventures. The funding will accelerate the company’s retail distribution strategy as it taps into the global brain health supplements market, projected to reach $16 billion by 2030.
