Frescos Naturales is a Latino-owned beverage company that specializes in creating delicious and refreshing aguas frescos, also known as frescas. These drinks are made with only the freshest ingredients, including fruit, water, and just a bit of sugar, making them a healthy and natural alternative to other processed and sugary drinks on the market.
The company was founded by Juan Stwart, who grew up in La Antigua, Guatemala, and moved to Boulder, Colorado when he was 17 years old. Juan has always been passionate about aguas frescos and grew up drinking them made with fruits like pineapple, hibiscus, and tamarind. It was during a lunch with his son that the idea to bottle and sell these drinks came to them, and in 2018, he began selling Rosa de Jamaica (hibiscus) at local farmers’ markets.
With the success of the rosa de jamaica, Juan set out to develop more flavors and Frescos Naturales was born. The company now has six flavors, including Rosa de Jamaica, Tamarindo, Maracuya, Piña, Guayaba, and Mango. Each drink is made with only high-quality ingredients and a light touch of sugar, making them a healthier alternative to other processed drinks on the market.

Frescos Naturales also prides itself on its commitment to its Latino heritage. The company’s artistic director, Sebastián, also grew up drinking natural refrescos in his native Peru. He has led the way in developing the look of the brand, using bright colors and presenting the flavor names in Spanish as a way to pay homage to their Latin American roots.

The company recently won first place in Naturally Boulder’s 17th annual Pitch Slam, which included a free booth at Natural Products Expo East 2022, and a guaranteed opportunity to pitch at the Expo East Pitch Slam.
