High-energy Ryan Ehmann came into the Tank like the rootin’ tootin’ cowboy he is. Fourteen years on the rodeo circuit left him with chronic lower back pain, and he had been told by every doctor he saw that he would never ride again. Not willing to accept that, he devised his own workout program, got back in the saddle again, and won a national rodeo title. He was on Shark Tank pitching his 12-step program that he was sure could help anyone get into shape in less time than other workouts. He also developed and patented a unique training machine, “Rodeo Abs,” that he wanted to license to gyms across the country. He ripped open his shirt to display his own abs and impressed the sharks. (He later ‘fessed up to working like heck to get the abs that way for the show.)
Daymond gave Ryan exactly the deal what he was asking for, $120,000 for 25% equity, and he remains an investor, client and friend. Ryan made $80,000 in the six weeks following his appearance on Shark Tank, but not long after, he stumbled with some business decisions and his future looked bleak. But Daymond swooped in and got the business back on track, at least temporarily. As of 2021 they appear to be out of business.
