Lumio – Lighting that Unfolds Like a Book

Lighting is about far more than functionality. It’s also about art and ambiance. Look at any designer or lighting retailer and it’s clear that the esthetic appeal is incredibly important. While it’s not difficult to find an incredible permanent light fixture, your options for portable lighting are limited. Enter Lumio.

Lumio is a sleek, modern LED lamp that magically unfolds from a book becoming a beautiful light source no matter where you are. Lumio is powered by high-output rechargeable batteries that provide 500 lumens of light that lasts for 8 hours. Lumio is simple, yet striking and powerful.

Lumio can be used to light any space, indoor or out. Folding compactly into a book, it’s easy to take with you anywhere. It opens to lay flat on any surface or stands on its own when fully-opened. When stood on it’s end like a book, it provides directional light for reading, crafting or creating an ambiance.

It can be configured in a number of ways using its hidden, yet powerful magnets. These give the ability for one cover of Lumio to attach to the other, allowing the device to be opened 360 degrees. Multiple devices can be attached to each other in the same way providing additional light output.

Lumio can attach to more than itself. It will attach to any metallic surface allowing Lumio to be mounted on the wall, under a cabinet or in a closet. Any metal surface now becomes an opportunity to become a source of light.

Lumio is small and compact at 6.5″ x 8.5″ x 1.25″, the size of an average book. When you need a light source that’s even more compact, try the mini Lumio+ at only 3.75″ x 5.5″ x .875″. The mini Lumio+  also serves as a portable power source for your electronic devices. The spine slides away, revealing mini USB charging ports providing the ability to keep a full charge on any device while you’re on the go. Lumio is powerful, compact and beautiful.
