Stan Krozel and Kevin Ullery rolled into the Shark Tank in the Fun Time Express, a trackless electric train with all the bells and whistles, flashing lights and, of course, the unmistakable air horn.
Stan and Kevin were successful real estate agents in Chicago when the market tanked. They decided they wanted to do something fun and thought back to the trackless trains they rode as children at the mall while Mom and Dad shopped. They reinvented the train to accommodate adults who want to take a break or window-shop. It is a replica of the American 4-4-0 steam locomotive and made in the US. They also equipped it for any event or environment: amusement parks, sports arenas, private parties.
After an investment from Kevin and Lori, Fun Time Express soon was in malls in seven states. And it grew and grew until it became a corporation, Fun Time Productions, LLC, with different model trains, such as the Bella Tori Coastal Express from the 19th – early 20th centuries. Today, they are a full-scale event-planning service, adding such attractions as amusement rides and inflatables for large corporate and community events.
Fun Time Express is now called Fun Time Productions.
